These steps run inside the helper. Download it above, open it, then follow along.
01 / CONNECT
Let’s find your camera.
Use the camera’s RTSP, JPEG snapshot or MJPEG address from its streaming settings. A camera’s normal web page is not its feed.
Use the short name shown in Blue Iris camera settings. The helper builds the snapshot address for you.
My camera needs a username and password
For HTTP feeds and Blue Iris secure login. For RTSP, use the full address supplied by your camera. Credentials are kept in this helper’s memory and must be entered again after restarting.
Mount the camera securely above the middle of the table, with all six pockets visible. Use the clearest feed available and leave the camera fixed in place.
02 / CORNERS
Four clicks. A straight table.
Click the inside cushion corners below: top left → top right → bottom right → bottom left. Keep the long side across the image.
Connect a camera first.
Enter corners with the keyboard
03 / YOUR VIEW
Camera view is ready.
The table is cropped and straightened to a 2:1 overhead view. AI is optional.
Optional: add ball detection
Already trained in Camera Studio? Import the model JSON, test it on this table, then enable it. Models from another camera may need retraining.
Supports Camera Studio appearance models. YOLO .pt and ONNX imports are not supported in this release.
No model needed for the normal camera view.
Train a model with photos of your own balls ↗Label reds, yellows, black and white in three different arrangements, then train and check the result. Detection is experimental: touching balls and reflections can be missed. It never changes scores automatically.
04 / USE IN CUETRACKER
Bring your table to the screen.
Create a temporary viewing link
The helper sends your table image to CueTracker once per second. Anyone with the link can watch for up to one hour. Stop sharing at any time.
Keep the helper and computer running. This starter link updates at about 1 frame/second, allows three viewers and expires on restart or after one hour. For smooth, permanent video, use your existing HTTPS camera relay.
Paste it into your table settings
- Open your club in 8 Ball or KellyPool.
- Open Settings → Venue Display and enable “Show Live Stream on Venue Display”.
- Paste the link into that table’s Camera or YouTube Live URL, save, then open Table Overview.
Use the full link, including “.mjpg”. Leave “local network only” off for this HTTPS link. Replace it when it expires. Camera Studio does not change your club settings for you.
I already have a permanent viewing URL
Paste that HTTPS MJPEG address directly into CueTracker. For a local relay, the helper’s output is http://127.0.0.1:8765/table.mjpg on this computer only. Your relay must make it reachable by the app; a private Wi-Fi address will not work from Railway.
Your table goes here.
Open the helper and connect your camera.
